The part II of the project was to built a stand that could hold the rod without falling on its sides
Managed to find decent 2x4 timber in Dubai finally, cut 2 pieces to do the job
Equal slice through the center for the cutout
Doing this reminded me of school days when we learn how to make joints
Quick test, and fits perfectly .. little loose but thats alright .. wish i had my power tools
Hole for the rod to go through for extra suppport
Rod mounts and some bolts to join both the pieces together
Perfect fit and its firm .. so it will stand straight
Finally the first light stand is complete, mission was successful .. I will start cracking on the second light stand soon ..
